Thon Hotel Orion is located a 4 minutes’ walk from the conference venue.
ON ARRIVAL
Bergen Airport, Flesland:
The conference venue, in Bergen city centre, is located a 30-minute drive from Bergen Airport, Flesland.
By bus
On arrival, the best way to reach the city centre and Bryggen is by the airport shuttle bus, Flybussen, which takes 30 minutes. The Airport Express bus stops at the left hand side just outside the main terminal building of the airport. The hotel is the last stop on the journey. See more information here
By taxi
The journey by car takes around 30 minutes (20km). Taxi stops just outside the terminal building.
BY TRAIN
If you arrive in Bergen by train, you will find the conference hotel just a short walk (15 minutes) from the train station.

All participants must remember to register upon arrival in order to gain access to the congress and social events!
You will be given a name tag which provides access to all academic sessions and tickets for the social events, if you have pre-ordered this.
Please double check that you have all the tickets upon registration.
SOCIAL EVENTS
Reception Tuesday August 27th
The reception will be held at the Conference Hotel from 19:00.
Tickets to the reception must be pre-booked.
Fjord cruise Wednesday August 28th
Departure at 18:00. We will return at 21:00
The tour starts at Dreggekaien, Bryggen, just across the road from the conference hotel.
Tickets for the Fjord cruise must be pre-booked.
Conference Dinner Thursday August 29th
The conference dinner will take place at Radisson Blu Royal Hotel from 19:00.
Tickets to the conference dinner must be pre-booked.
